Slow Monday

Not much going on today in the top 25. A majority of our predictions for the new rankings came true. Stick with us because we're good like that.


Nevada had an unusually tough time at home against a woeful Boise State. Everyone has a bad game, but at home? We thought they would pretty much roll through their conference, but we'll hold our judgement for a couple of weeks. The negative against them is that they could go the whole season without facing a top 25 team. Their only loss so far is to UNLV on the road. We are second-guessing whether they should be in the top 25.


The game to watch this week is Saturday's UNC at Va. Tech. Logic states that if Virginia Tech can beat Duke at Cameron Indoor...you get the picture. The Heels also host Virginia this week. Watch for defensive stopper Marcus Ginyard to shadow Sean Singletary all night. Florida has no easy ride this week either. Arkansas is coming off a big win at home against Alabama, and South Carolina can be deadly at home (although not this week we predict).




We say that UNC will go 1-1 this week and Florida will go 2-0. New number 1 next Monday.
