Tampa Proves to be Upset City for ACC

We knew that anyone could beat anybody in this tournament. But even we were surprised by the upsets today in Tampa. It is unthinkable that the four bottom-of-the-barrel teams are still alive and kicking.

Florida State gets to play Carolina tomorrow. Their win against Clemson today probably got them into the Big Dance. Can they take it one step farther and beat the Heels? No.

NC State shocked some (not us) by beating Dook. Will they be able to beat Virginia now? No.

Weak Forest will be in no post-season tourney (despite kicking Georgia Tech's as$ today), unless they can win the whole ACC enchilada. So can they beat Virginia Tech? No again.

Miami played with a purpose today as they beat Maryland. Can they reproduce that against Boston College? We say maybe. But, the Hurricanes need to start sharing the rock and will have to have a near-perfect game to beat the Eagles. It will not happen.

The ACC championship final will be a hoot. Tune in.
