Bad Habit

We have a bad habit of under-estimating Memphis lately, and we must admit we are wrong about this team. Despite our prediction, the #18 Tigers beat UAB decisively tonight. We have learned our lesson.

6. Pitt: did not win by 15, but did beat UConn by 9. Close enough. Chalk up another one for us.

11. Air Force: we love Air Force, but we called this upset as Utah won, snapping a six-game winning streak for the Utes.

14: Oklahoma State: we told you to watch this game! Wow! Triple OT. We also told you OSU would win, and they did. Note here that we told you to watch Boggan and Durrant, and they proved us right with scoring 37 points each. Best game of the season so far, hands down.

22. Maryland: we said they would lose at Virginia, and they did. Wow, the ACC is tough this year.

Lots of top-25 games tomorrow. By-the-way, the top-25 that we use is the Coaches poll, not the AP. For this reason, you will not get from us any comment on teams ranked in the AP and not in the Coaches poll. Tonight is a perfect example as we ignore the Marquette and Kentucky games.

So let's talk about tomorrow night:

3. Wisconsin: will beat Pudue at home. No contest here. Wisonsin should be #1.

4. UNC: this will be a great ACC game. Both teams are coming off a loss. We pick UNC, but #16 Clemson will give them all they can handle at Littlejohn.

7. Ohio State: Northwestern continues their downward slide to lose once again.

9. Alabama: at Vandy. The Commodores (without Lionel Richie) will give the Crimson Tide a hard time, but Alabama will come out with a win.

15. Butler: this will be close, but Butler will beat Youngstown State.

19. LSU: no worries here as they beat the Mississippi Rebels (yee-ha!) at home.

20. Notre Dame: Villanova, facing their first ranked team of the season, will lose to Notre Dame at home.

24, Tennessee: Auburn continues their losing streak against top-25 teams with a loss to the Volunteers at home.

25. Virgina Tech: Florida State faces the new darling of the ACC at home. Can the Seminoles win. Yes.
